Conversations with Katora

This applet is designed to turn your computer into an All-zeroed node that can send and receive messages from the Empire.

It's sort of like instant messaging.

Instructions:

You must initiate conversation before the mindsea will appear.

Type your message in the bar on the top.

For best results use short, complete sentences. Punctuation is not necessary. You do not need to capitalize.

Katora's picture will appear once you make contact.

Her responses will appear in the space beneath her picture.

Words peceded by "*" are untranslatable.

The central space is provided for lists of things that you may ask for. The space to the left is where pictures that you request will appear. Katora will show you pictures of imperial worlds if you name them.

Katora may remember the information you give her during the conversation, but the next time you contact her she probably won't, because the intersection will occur on a different branching of history.

Being a mindsea, Katora should of course recall all of her alternate histories, but no one's perfect.

A Note on Translation

Messages you send across time and space are translated into a Deep-level Transmission Language (DLTL). The mindseas' messages to you are also transmitted in this form. When you see a word preceded by an asterisk, it means that the program has not been able to translate this word into English. It doesn't necessarily mean that the mindsea is cursing at you.
